Mindfulness for your Day to Day

November 15, 2020 by Reverend Katherine Ganev Soto

Smith Rock Park in Terrebonne, Oregon

Let’s talk about Mindfulness for your day to day. I know there is a formal definition of mindfulness and many interpretations of what it truly means. But I am going to share my own interpretation from my years of existence and practice. Mindfulness is your sincere response-ability; your ability to respond with sincerity.

If you break that apart, it means you are thoughtful, you are present, and you are taking ownership of your own well-being and the well-being of the whole. Being mindful is putting the full power of your mind in your control. One area you have full control with is the power to choose and the power to change your mind.

“Mindfulness is your sincere response-ability; your ability to respond with sincerity.”

Align with the frequency of Mindfulness

To respond with sincerity requires one to have some level of self-mastery, which is not learned over night. Self-mastery is the journey, to which mindfulness is an ingredient that adds value to the whole. Mindfulness is a lifestyle. You align with the frequency of what mindfulness represents and radiate that out into the world in your day to day interactions.

It first requires your desire to be mindful. For you to “choose” to be mindful. To be sincere with your thoughts, words, and actions toward yourself and others.

Like yoga or martial arts, there is a physical/intentional “on the mat” practice for mindfulness. But the real work is in your daily interactions, which is your life experience.

Like yoga or martial arts, there is a physical/intentional “on the mat” practice for mindfulness.

You see, you are a communication device with the intelligence to control what you receive and what you give. And you are always communicating and interacting with something or someone, even if only with yourself. You practice your mindfulness on the mat so that you can re-mind yourself to embody it in all your interactions and communication experiences.

How do you do this? With Desire, Intention, and Action interwoven with Observing, Witnessing, and Contemplating. But first, let’s start with the five practical contemplation ideas and practices for the workplace.

Self-mastery is the journey, to which mindfulness is an ingredient that adds value to the whole.

Five Mindfulness Contemplation Ideas and Practices

I have identified five ideas to contemplate and bring into practice regularly. I say contemplate because mindfulness is not really something that I can give you. It can only be aligned with from within.

I can show you where to look, but you choose to interact. As you read this, take notes on what the ideas and practices mean for you. Jot down how you might engage with and take the practice forward in your day to day.

You may come up with an idea or practice that works better for you. You are in total control with what you allow and receive in your space, I am just the conduit bringing the information through.

I can show you where to look, but you choose to interact.

1. Identify your Mindfulness reset zone

Your reset zone is a mindfulness place, space, or energy where you can go to clear out the chaos. Where you can come to your center and your purpose. This allows for openness and receptivity in the present moment. Having it identified and ready to apply at any time is great for those busy days and when things get hectic.

  1. Identify your specific reset zone activity and space/place.
  2. Set reminders (re-mind-ers) for your reset zone activity.
  3. Re-Mind yourself to slow down, relax, and take a rest.

2. Start with gratitude, presence, and consideration

I know this may sound silly but live today as if it were today. Live in this moment as if it were this moment. In doing this you honor the holiness of now and of self and others. It is easy to get entangled with what was, what you could or should have done, or what might be in the future. But when you do that, you miss the now.

  1. Find just one thing you are truly grateful for each day.
  2. Be present to experience everything and present with everything you are choosing to experience.
  3. Be considerate of your emotions and mental space. Take a time-in if necessary.
  4. Be considerate of time. Allow time and space to prepare for and integrate your engagements.

3. Bring it back to Vision/Mission/Purpose/Goal

Bringing it back to vision allows you to align with your goal’s frequency. It allows you to move with mindfulness in your goal’s direction. When you know the goal, you prepare the environments (inner and outer) in a manner that is the most nourishing to meet that goal. This provides for the greatest health for all involved.

  1. Align with/Remember the goal for every engagement
  2. Keep asking why. Why are you doing this. What is your why.
  3. Have awareness with the goal, but be present with and walk the path.

4. Master your communication skills

We communicate on many levels; Physically, mentally, emotionally, energetically, and vocally. And we are always communicating. Mastering this skill gives so much. It provides you the ability to offer your gifts and skills, to add value, and to be helpful.

  1. Be honest and gain awareness with your emotions, feelings, and thoughts.
  2. Practice being impeccable with your thoughts, words, and actions.
  3. Be mindful with your words, the specific language you use.
  4. Listen with the intent to understand.

5. Be open and flexible

When you are open and flexible, you can bend, flow, and move in any direction. There are no restrictions, there is no resistance, and your agility is contagious. It gives others permission to align with the same. Here you are learning and teaching love, the open expression of the energy of the universe, the thread that weaves us all together.

  1. Be open to change(s), new ideas, and different viewpoints.
  2. Let go of expectations, those you have of self and others
  3. Identify where you take things personally or are stuck in an old program, pattern, or belief system.

And those are the five mindfulness contemplation ideas and practices for mindfulness in your day to day. To recap, the 5 practices are

  1. Identify your reset zone
  2. Start with gratitude, presence, and consideration
  3. Bring it back to Vision/Mission/Purpose/Goal
  4. Master your communication skills
  5. Be open and flexible

Functioning as an intuitive sensitive empath

October 27, 2020 by Reverend Katherine Ganev Soto

Receive bite-sized secrets, reflections, and exercises to Know, Love, and Heal Thyself

As an intuitive sensitve empath, I can often take on, feel, and sense energies around me. I didn’t realize how truly sensitive I was until I ended in the hospital. And Doctors provided no explanation about why it happened.

The Metaphysical Fair

It was a warm spring day in 2002 and I took my 30-yo self to the Denver Metaphysical fair. I spent 4 hours walking up and down the aisles of this colossal building. It was fun and exhausting checking out the hundreds and hundreds of vendors. There were psychics, healers, energy workers, star beings, light beings, singers, artists, and so much more. Energy was moving in different directions in my field and I would get dizzy from time to time. This usually happened when I went into metaphysical stores or when around too many people / too much energy. Maybe it was the overwhelming smell of sage and incense. Or maybe it was all the energies moving about seen and unseen. It was time to unwind and ground.

Going to the Movies

I enjoyed my time at the fair, overwhelmed by all the insight, information, and vendors I got to explore. But I wasn’t ready to go home just yet. So decided I would watch a movie at the theater to chill out for a bit. And when I was done with the movie, I made a pit stop at Blockbusters to rent a movie. I knew that Zoolander just came out and was excited to rent it. So there I went into the blockbuster and straight to the back wall, where I knew Zoolander would be. I had no idea what was about to happen.

The Blockbuster Moment

As I approached the movies and was scanning through titles, something odd happened. The movies started to move, as if a portal was opening within them. I blinked my eyes a bit then rubbed them and peered closer, taking a deep breath. Did I really see that? There, they did it again! What was going on? I didn’t take any hallucinogens, but something was clearly happening.

Just then, my left hand started to tingle. Hm, I thought, Am I going to have a heart attack? I thought I had heard before that your hand tingling meant something not so good. So, I got down on the ground and sat there in seiza (a martial arts sitting position). Being close to the ground felt safe as I assumed something was going to happen but I didn’t know what. As an intuitive sensitive empath, I knew that calming the body and mind is critical when in unknown situations. And there I sat.

The Sensitive Empath Experience

As I sat there, I looked around the room and saw a man standing in the distance. It was at this moment everything changed. The next thing I remember, I was in a moving vehicle and there was a man yelling at me. “Kathy, calm down! Calm down!” I took a big gasp of air, trying to figure out what was happening. My eyes darted around the space wide with panic. Where was I? Who are these people? What happened? After a minute, they filled me in on the details. Then promptly asked me questions about if I knew where I was (what State, City) or who I was.

It took me a minute to put it all together. I thought I was in Arizona, which is where I had moved from a year and a half prior. But then I remembered I practiced Aikido and lived in Denver. They explained to me that I had a Grand Mal Seizure. Apparently in took 6 large police officers and fire fighters to hold me down. I don’t remember any of it. I was in the hospital for a few hours while they ran some tests ensuring I was safe to go home. Wow, what a day. When I finally made it home, I took it easy for a few days. My muscles were extremely sore and I was a bit confused by what happened. So needed some time to put all the pieces together.

The Aftermath of my Sensitive nature

Over the next few months, many tests were run and no one ever found anything wrong with me. No explanation from all the neurology departments and doctors I saw. They said it was just a strange occurrence that happens very rarely to 30 year olds.

A psychic told me otherwise. And 5 years later when I entered my Shamanic Practitioner training program, my teacher said it may have been an initiation. She let me know that the metaphysical fair is lined with psychics along the inside perimeter of the building. And that for an intuitive sensitive empath, it was no surprise it knocked me for a loop.

The next time I went to the fair, I made sure I had my grounding, shielding, and boundary tools active. Oh, what it is to be an intuitive sensitive intuitive empath. I’ve learned many tools in the many years since that experience. And I now help other intuitive sensitive empaths, or what I like to call Divine Super Souls

Allow Yourself to Be, Wherever You Are

May 12, 2014 by Reverend Katherine Ganev Soto

AllowYourselfToBe

Be the Observer

What message or advice would you give to yourself if you could be the observer of your existence? Well, start listening because you are, or can be this observer. And you have access to the wisdom of your own divine spirit. We all do.

You know what path to take and where you need support even if you don’t think you do. And you know what will align with your truth and what paths and possibilities are open to you. You are senior in your space. Therefore, you have the permission and ability to make the decisions that resonate with you.

So, why do we often try so hard to be when we already are? Often, we are trying to be someone or something that is not our truth. We may be trying to get somewhere or achieve some goal that again is not our truth. We believe we should be these ways because we may want to please someone else. Or we may want to check off a box from a list that didn’t come from our truth. If it did, we wouldn’t be questioning it.

When we step away from being fully present in each moment, we create a wobble in our field. This happens because the energy we are trying to align with is not our truth. This wobble disrupts our energy field and our ability to find neutrality and peace within. And thus it leads us on a journey of “who am I and where do I belong?”

Flow Naturally

What if we took away the need to have an answer on the other side of the equal sign? Or even took away the need to find x or y (or why). What if we became like a leaf and allowed ourselves to move and flow with the changes of the wind? Allowed ourselves to flow naturally the way our innate beings want to flow? X and Y don’t need to exist because you are not broken. You are not without existence, you are not without being known. You are.

There could be hundreds of why’s that are preventing us from really being in the moment. They may come from programming, trauma, belief systems, or society. Or they may come from our own self sabotage, judgments, fear, guilt, shame, and on and on and on. Regardless where they come from, you have a right to heal. Will you allow yourself to come into a centered place of peaceful strength and release what is not in alignment? Fully access your own divine wisdom because that is where you will find your greatest you. And that is where you will BE, fully present in the now. Thus allowing yourself to flow with the natural calling from your soul.

Wow, if we could see us, truly see our simple complexities, what magic would unfold?.

Next Steps

  1. Set the intention to open up full access to your own divine spirit with ease and grace.
  2. Acknowledge and accept where you feel a wobble in your field (extreme or numb emotions). No need to react, just notice.
  3. Find a peaceful space. It can be a meditation space or a walk in nature.
  4. Ask yourself questions about your truth. Listen to all of your bodies, the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and soul. Even if you don’t hear right away, you are providing a space for opening to your divine spirit.
  5. If you want to take it to the next level or are having a hard time connecting on your own, seek help. You may search for a spiritual or psychic center where you can learn tools and resources. They may help you open up to your energy bodies with much more ease and grace.

Affirmation

Try this affirmation or create your own. Place your hands on your heart and connect with your own divine being. Allow yourself to awaken to your truth and your brilliance.

I Awaken
Awaken to consciousness
Awaken my consciousness
Awaken my brilliance
Awaken to me
I Awaken
Awaken my sleeping heart
Awaken my shattered mind
Open my peaceful truth
Open to me

What am I doing here and why do I care?

May 5, 2014 by Reverend Katherine Ganev Soto

EarthImage

It’s just right to be where you are. Others may judge what you say or do, and that’s just fine too. Be exactly where you are and know that it’s part of your path and the experiences of your life.

Ahh, the question so many of us ask, what are we doing here? What is the purpose of this life that is unfolding behind and in front of these amazing eyes? What are we and what are we made of? What are we capable of? Seriously, what is the point of this existence?  If you ask these questions, there may just be a reason to care.

You are listening and being guided by your own wisdom and life path. So don’t fret, or do if you please, but know there is a reason, a greater purpose for you. And along your path, the path you are on in this moment, the one from the past (that doesn’t really exist, yet it does), the one from the future (that exists only in this moment), is exactly as it should be, or it wouldn’t be.

Contemplate that you are creating and shifting your path, your life purpose, your experience each time you delve deeper into your questioning or curiosity, each time you are. You alter your path as you move and as you allow awareness and presence in your motion.  Each action creates a new pattern that mixes with the experience and wisdom of the past, present and future as well as the universal consciousness that exists and is created in each moment. This opens the portals, the doorways, to your greatest possibilities. Question and be curious!

You can look at your life in whatever manner works for you. You may see, feel, know or experience patterns, blocks or obstacles, energy fragments that come in and out of existence to shift your consciousness and understanding of life. We are given opportunities, lessons, teachings and experiences and we have total control and choice for how we receive or respond to them. As we receive and respond or change our minds and beliefs, as we release and let go of attachments, positive or negative, coming in to a space of neutrality and knowing, we gain access to another layer of wisdom that helps us shift into a new frequency, allowing us to come closer to the us that is, individual and universal.

You, the one asking the questions with curiosity and wonder, with joy and frustration, amazement and sadness at the state of our existence, you are exactly where you should be. Continue asking your questions and being curious. Sink deep into your truth and wisdom and ask for guidance from your higher being. Ask for a break through that will allow you to experience a profound and peaceful awakening to you.

Continue to BE and consider playing with the following:

  1. Ask questions, be curious!
  2. Create, Write and Show your truth no matter the judgments
  3. Ask for guidance and wisdom to come through with ease and grace
  4. Intend a breakthrough to the highest wisdom you can have in this moment
  5. See others just as they are, their true star seed light and allow yourself to be humbled
  6. Allow yourself to be seen just as you are, your true star seed light and allow yourself to be humbled
  7. Acknowledge and give yourself permission to judge and be judged – there is great healing in this.
  8. Acknowledge just where you are without reacting or taking action – be the observer
  9. Freeze the moments and observe as you move with each fragment of existence – see if you can shift it
  10. Allow, embrace and feel the wHoleness that is expanding and giving way to your omnipotent existence

Wherever you are, whatever your experience, you are shifting and transforming into the form, the path, the purpose you chose. You may or may not get the answers you seek, you may or may not understand, but you will certainly change. And in these changes, you may feel loneliness. But that deep still and empty space, the wHole within, is your universe opening to your full existence so that you can bring your mind, body, spirit, and soul essences together to shift consciousness and create a new reality.

Rest your heart upon your soul and release into the peaceful stream
Let your passions embrace you whole and let your eyes drift into dreams

Many blessings on your path!

From Dismal to Blissful: Getting unstuck and connecting with yourself again

March 20, 2014 by Reverend Katherine Ganev Soto

We can easily access intuitive guidance, certainty, ancient wisdom, and powerful intelligence, from within our own beings that can change our lives from dismal to blissful.

Many people come to me with concerns about being stuck, not knowing where they want to go, what they want to do, or even who they are. And how did they come to be here, in this dreary muck of uncertainty and helplessness?

There is a deep sense of sadness and disconnection from truth, power, and beauty. And it can be very challenging to figure out how to get unstuck or how to connect fully with true self. What does that feel like and look like? We’ve been in this state for so long, it may not even occur to some that there is a disconnection at all.

I find that many who come to me genuinely and profoundly want to connect with themselves more deeply and want to feel a sense of purpose, fulfillment and success in this life that they are currently wearily walking. I often hear the words “This is just life” or “I’m just getting old” or “maybe this is just part of who I am and I should accept it.” Many feel like they don’t know who they are or what feelings, thoughts, and beliefs are truly theirs.

While life has its ups and downs, places to get stuck and unstuck, changing bodies and minds due to age and challenges along the way, it has the signature, the DNA, the full potential for a thriving existence at ANY age. We don’t have to be stuck in a maze of confusion or disconnected from our passions and desires, trudging through life doing something just for the sake of doing it, not fully LIVING and therefore not thriving.

We can easily access intuitive guidance, certainty, ancient wisdom, and powerful intelligence, from within our own beings that can change our lives from dismal to blissful.  There are steps we can take to reconnect and revive our frequency to optimal health and wellness for our unique existence. It may take time, small steps and layers to uncover our juicy greatness, but it is absolutely possible.

Come with me on a mini journey of exploration into your truth (don’t worry about how to do things, just intend it and allow your intuition to guide you):

∞     Set the intention to allow yourself to explore in whatever way will support your being based on what you would like to experience

∞     Wherever you are in this moment, stop and take a few deep breaths. Notice your breathing. Do your shoulders raise, does your belly expand, does your back hurt. Just notice.

∞     Look up and around at whatever is around you and allow your eyes to shift into spirit-truth eyes, relaxing your body as if in a slight meditative/trance-like state. Really look and really see what is around you. Allow all of your senses to soak in the universal beadlets of life experience and just be with this for a minute.

∞     Identify or jot down those things that stood out or resonated with you. Did anything reach you at a soul level? Write it down.

∞     Imagine for a moment a younger you. Allow whatever age you see to come forth and then connect with this part of yourself. What are you doing? How do you feel? What do you sound like? What are you wearing? Where are you? Just notice and be with this part of yourself, noticing how you feel in this state of observation.

∞     Ask this part of yourself what it would like, what it needs, and how it can help you step into, and connect with, your truth, highest potential and greatest possibilities. And just listen. It may come to you as an image, words, story/scene or a sense of knowing. However it comes, embrace it and allow it to sink into your cells as wisdom you can access at any time.

∞     If it feels safe, connect with this part of yourself in your heart center, sinking deep into this space and allowing your highest spirit to hold you and this younger you in a loving embrace. Allow your bodies (physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, soul essence) to experience whatever is coming up. Be here for as long as needed.

∞     When you feel complete, give gratitude to yourself, your younger self, your highest spirit, and the wisdom, healing and guidance that came through.

We’ve spent many years getting ourselves into our current state. Coming back into our truth can take time. Give yourself the time and patience to explore your truth. Here are some resources to help you begin to connect more deeply with yourself:

Books

  • Your Hearts Desire by Sonia Choquette
  • The Biology of Belief by Bruce Lipton

Meditation/Frequencies

  • ‘Brainwave Tuner’ app on smart phones. Listen to the frequencies to help with focus, healing, meditation, and sleep.
  • Meditation for Beginners: http://zenhabits.net/meditation-for-beginners-20-practical-tips-for-quieting-the-mind/Healings

Spiritual Healing

  • Find a practitioner that can help you with the following: identifying and connecting with what you would like to experience in this life; deprograming, clearing cords/ attachments /etc…, releasing old belief systems; retrieving lost power and parts of self; reconnecting spirit with body, mind, and soul; healing past lives and family/genetic coding; and opening or re-opening neuro-pathways to your greatest possibilities.

Many blessings on your path!

How Conscious Are You?

February 26, 2014 by Reverend Katherine Ganev Soto

There is an abundance of peace that flows like a gentle smile through the eyes of an old soul

What is consciousness? What does it mean to be truly alive, fully present in body, mind, and spirit with an understanding that penetrates the deepest of our souls? How do we observe through these human eyes at the world of joy, sorrow, love, hate, pain, and bliss?

This concept of consciousness is juicy and exciting but can feel so distant, so out of reach given how far away we have come from really being in a place of total awareness and truth with our lives, our existence, our life purpose. In some cases, it can seem more difficult to be truly conscious with each moment when we lack an understanding of what it means to be conscious and how to flow with the rhythms of this vague concept in our moments of existence.

I can’t say that I know or fully understand it, but there are times in life when things click, they seem right, they seem to flow and there is an abundance of peace that flows like a gentle smile through the eyes of an old soul. How do we access these moments or create more of them in our lives, how do we gain awareness with and, at will, bring consciousness to the forefront so that we can thrive in this beautiful existence? Intend it and then take action.

Here are five tidbits that may help you find the consciousness within you:

1. Find and do Something you Love

This can be what you do for a living or what you do for the love of it. Regardless, it is critical to do something you love regularly, daily if possible, in order to access more of your consciousness. I

The next time you do something you love, set an intention prior to have more consciousness with it (just intend it). Imagine you are dropping in to your soul essence (the center of your being) and feel the part of yourself that is in existence. Who is this soul being within? Bring this part of yourself to the surface (imagine it coming up through your blood and pores) and allow this part of you to experience the joy you find in this thing you love.

I love to run trails or hike on a sunny day. I love to read and be taken on great adventures. I love to use my imagination to help others find their truth. I love to write and sing and dance. What do you love to do?

If you aren’t sure what you love, find out. Here is a great book I recommend to many who are trying to figure out who they are and what they want to do in life. It’s called “Your Heart’s Desire’ by Sonia Choquette. I highly recommend it.

2. Contemplate

Take time out of your schedule to be in silence and to listen to your inner wisdom, to be with this human body, embracing the gifts it shares with your wandering spirit.

We are in a ‘drive-fast-go-hard’ society and we forget to step away from this fast paced environment to give ourselves moments of silence and peace so that we can hear the answers to the many questions we have and so that we can give gratitude to our amazing being and pay respects to all that we have been, all that we are, and all that we will become.

Most of us are not conscious of our breath or heart beat or what our hands and fingers look like, let alone what we need at a deeper level or our being to thrive in this beautiful existence.

To connect with this deeper part of yourself, make time for silence. This can be in the form of meditation, a light yoga class, walking in nature, a silent retreat. Here is a local Colorado silent retreat location that has affordable cabins for rent: http://www.yeshekhorlo.org/retreatCrestone_intro. I also highly recommend the book ‘The Book of Secrets’ by Deepak Chopra to help connect deeper to your true soul essence.

3. Observe

We are so busy doing, that we forget to actually see what is right in front of us. We blindly watch television or actions taking place, but are not really present for what is really happening.

If you can slow down and actually observe interactions, especially between people or animals, and most especially in the outdoors, you will find many treasures of wisdom, peace, joy, happiness, humbleness, and awareness.

There is a special trick. Don’t look, don’t just see, but observe with all of your being, all of your senses and let go of any expectations or past experiences. Just allow your soul essence to penetrate through your mind’s eye to see the magic that is happening before you. With enough practice, you will be able to see the particles of matter and the crystal energy that is being exchanged.

When you are able to master this, you will receive healings at a level that I cannot explain. It will humble you, bring tears to your eyes, and bring you steps closer to that consciousness within. Trust that you have the capacity to do this; you are much wiser and more connected than you realize.

4. Create

We were given minds, hands, hearts, emotions, and wild imaginations so that we, each of us that exists, can create supportive magical manifestations.

It is easy for us to get stuck in the realms of “what already is” and forget that we have the potential and gifts to create from galactic particles of energy into a tangible work of art in this physical existence.

Let go of what you think it should look like, or what others have created. We get stuck in expectations or old experiences that we forget to dive into the kinder-garden of curiosity, creativity, and imagination.

The best place to start is in the arts. Create a magical piece of art, may it be a painting, writing, a song, a dance, a design, or something new that I don’t have a name for. Sign up for a class with friends or make something up yourself.

Creating from your mind, hands, heart, emotions, and imagination will fuel your existence in a way that can only allow you to connect with or further expand and deepen your consciousness.

5. Connect & Share

We are here to connect with others and to share our gifts and wisdom with the world so that we can thrive. Without connection, collaboration, and co-creation we are not allowing for our highest potential and greatest possibilities, which prevents us from really accessing our truth and consciousness.

We impact the lives of everyone we come into contact with more than we realize, by being, with all the thoughts, beliefs, ideas, and creations we hold. See if you can go a step further and truly connect with others through interaction. Ask about their lives and dreams and experiences and share the wisdom you’ve gained along your path.

Be present with this experience and use your new observation skills to allow for growth and healing and watch your consciousness expand. In this space of consciousness, your being smiles through the essence of your soul, deeply humbled by connections you’ve made and the experiences you have shared.

And this awareness and understanding creates a frequency that others can feel and see at their own deep level of being. And they may not be able to explain it, but they know it like an old friend, and they want to be connected with this again.

Poem: Awaken to your Consciousness

I opened my eyes, the light was blinding
wrapping its dense fog around my body
and there I was, walking this new path
open to a new existence of experience

what a wonderful journey
exploring this complex design
of emotions and wisdom
of beauty and connections

watching our humanness
Our needs, our dreams, our hopes, & fears
in communion, with curiosity
with tears and laughter, together

observing the beautiful smiles
the big hands and moving breaths
the messages in body and mind
the humble sweetness of it all

with tears of joy and understanding
in gratitude for every moment
watching us grow beyond measure
watching us shift from new to old to new again

I saw, I laughed, I cried
and felt deep within my being
looking beyond our soul essence
creating magical memories and healing

and with a knowing I can’t explain
my heart was peace and love
exploring a new beginning
of total understanding

I opened my eyes, the light was peaceful
intertwining with my light within
and there I was, home again
dreaming of my human existence

looking at where I was truly alive
seeing where I was unconscious
amusing at where I was stuck
but knowing it was all worth it

In Consciousness, we thrive
Awaken to your Consciousness

Finding You

January 17, 2014 by Reverend Katherine Ganev Soto

Hello innocent one, dreamer of a better tomorrow and a pleasant today, sacred one, afraid to step into your presence. What are you allowing into your space? Can you feel the joy and sorrow, the love and hate, the connections broken and drifting away, the frozen trees bending in the wind, reaching deep into the window of our souls, plugging in to provide us fuel? Where are you going? Why are you wandering, sweet and lost soul?  Oh, sweet spirit, sweet being of light, why do you suffer? Why do you allow fear and ego to penetrate your essence? Take my hand, let go into my arms, my nourishing embrace, and let me show you all of you. Don’t be afraid, you will see, you are true beauty.

How is it that an amazing being of light is dropped into submission, avoiding a true and deep connection with self and others and suppressing truth and wisdom for fear of conflict, pain and suffering, rejection, hate, and punishment? Where did we forget our truth? How can we help ourselves step back into our power in a peaceful and conscious way to live fully in awareness, connecting with our genuine existence?

I see many individuals who suffer in fear, who are in a frozen state in various aspects of their lives, not able to move. This stagnant energy is being shattered by the universal consciousness as it no longer resonates with truth, making it that much more challenging to be present. I have such deep sadness when I see the physical side of a vibrant, beautiful, and powerful being hide in fear, shrink in energy and barely whisper what they might desire, not able to make eye contact.

The truth is, we keep ourselves prisoner behind solid steel, behind the darkness of which we are afraid, behind the doubts and fears and guilt and shame. But we have the keys, the power, and the permission to break free, to open our eyes to the deepness within and to bring our gifts and wisdom into the world, this one unique lifetime, to inspire and enable existing and new creations that allow a thriving universe. This is our right as it is our choice.

Like all things new, it requires action and fearless pursuit, gentle and persistent practice, to step into a place that may be foreign, where we’ve not been before or for a very long time. But it is time, time to step into our truth, to open our hearts and souls fully to ourselves and others, to let go of the fear that has kept us prisoner for so long. Please know you are not alone, there are many and we are ready, graduating from being a passenger to taking the reins and seniority of our lives.

This is something each of us must choose to do and take the steps toward. We can guide and help each other, but it is essentially up to each one of us to bravely step into our true role, consistently and with persistence. You will know what to do, trust yourself. Here are some steps that may be helpful, but know that you are the one who holds the wisdom and the keys to the solutions that will propel you to know your truth:

  1. Set an Intention (some examples below – create your own):
    • I am ready to take responsibility and seniority on my path
    • I am ready to open my heart and soul fully and to step into my power and truth
    • Higher Self, please help guide me into a place of peaceful power and strength so that I may step into my truth and bring wisdom and gifts to enable a thriving universe.
  1. Meditate Daily
    • Find time each day (5 minutes up to 1 hour) to meditate and focus your heart and soul on connecting with your truth and power.
    • Set the intent to do so and just sit quietly. Don’t worry about what you think it should look, feel, or be like. Just take this time daily.
    • Don’t judge the time. 5 minutes can be just as powerful as 1 hour. Give yourself permission to be where you are, but practice daily!
  1. Identify your power and your truth.
    • Speak it to yourself or a friend
    • Write it down in a letter to yourself
    • Create a vision board of what your truth and power look like
  1. Take Action.
    • Each week, find a place where you are not in your power or truth and vow to step into your power and truth in this place.
    • Let people know you are working on being in your truth and power in an authentic way.
    • Do something physical that promotes this, such as speaking it to a friend or loved one or posting it on a social media site. Be gentle with yourself.
    • Enjoy the process and find light amusement along the way.

Many blessings on your path!

Sensitive? Learn to Embrace the Chaos

December 27, 2013 by Reverend Katherine Ganev Soto

Stand in the center of your being and dance with the chaos around you!

You are a sensitive seeker, a peaceful warrior, a super soul, who knows, deep within, that your path is one of mindfulness, of conscious creation, of substantial purpose. You are curious, searching for something unknown, seeking a profound connection with your truth, with spirit consciousness. You see and experience the chaos around us where others may not, in a way that penetrates your entire being and creates a drive for peace and consciousness within your own universe *and* the outer universe.

It can be difficult to embrace the chaos, but it can also be effortless. There is no right or wrong way to manage your energy as it magnetizes or merges with the cornucopia of energy beadlets of fear, love, pain, joy, suffering, or bliss, especially when it is not yours.

During the holiday season, the buildup of energy is magnified and often connects to create a cyclone moving swiftly through the realms of space, merging with the spiritual and energetic ecosystem of those sensitive’s who are wide open and magnetically attracting anything and everything into our space.

There are many things you can do to help with your sensitivities, especially during this time. While numbing yourself with drugs, work, alcohol, relationships, exercise, or other addictive behaviors may seem like the quickest and easiest route, they are actually very damaging in the short and long term.

To dance with the chaos and have full seniority and ownership of your energy space instead of letting it control or dance you requires centered awareness and nourishment of every part of your being. It is a life practice that will allow you to dive deep into the depths of your path, your purpose, and the reason you chose to be here so that you can enjoy and thrive with this life you live.

Here are 7 tips to help you on your path. Just start with #1 if that is all you can do:

  1. Learn to Clear your Energy daily. Sign up for my free monthly class on Conscious Soul Attunement.
  2. Find a quite space to Relax and Breathe. We require regular time and space to center, focus, and just be.
  3. Make time for physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual Exercise. Exercise is critical to release toxic energy in all forms. Qi Gong, Aikido, Tai Chi, Dancing, Yoga, Hiking, or Running are all great choices.
  4. Hydrate and Nourish with high quality substances. Because we absorb so much, if what we put in and on our bodies is not of the highest quality, it can exacerbate the overwhelm to our entire being. If you don’t know where to start, let me know your interest level and I will create a class on Nourishment for Sensitive’s.
  5. Learn to Be Mindful in all that you do. Set the intention to be aware and mindful and let your spirit guide you. If you want to delve deeper, two great books are: (1) Mindfulness by Ellen J. Langer and (2) Biology of Belief by Bruce Lipton
  6. Be the observer and Find the Amusement in all that you do and experience. Set the intention to observe and have more awareness with each moment.
  7. Learn to Master your Space. This requires daily practice. If you are ready, I am here to help. Here are a couple books to help you get started: (1) The Art of Peace by Morihei Ueshiba and (2) The Book of Secrets by Deepak Chopra.

I specialize in working with Sensitive’s. If you want guidance on your path and are ready to take ownership of your life, contact me for a free consultation.

Evolution of an Urban Spirit Guide

As I stand here in this tornado of disorder, this whirlwind of emotions, at the edge of this cliff, in preparation for the unknown, I go within. And with a curious and cunning smile in my ephemeral awareness, I think I know and understand peace, walking with confidence and certainty into the abyss of peak experience. The tornado whirls closer, touching every molecule of my being, showing me the truth of existence, the bizarre and fantastical design we continue to weave.

And in this moment, tears well up in the black hole of my consciousness, bringing humble moments of peculiar understanding and oneness. And I attach to the chaos flowing around me, feeling it, touching it, experiencing every moment of it. I feel, sense, hear, know, and see each particle flowing through my emotions, my neural pathways, my cells, and my heart. And I take a deep breath with simple yet complex mindfulness, wondering what I’m *really* doing here, what this life *really* is about. And even though I’ve been here before having moments of clarity and pure wisdom, I continue to find myself lost in the forest, embraced by the trees, by the earth, in constant nourishment, growth and learning.

But I know it’s ok, that it’s necessary for my growth on this path I have chosen, as a guide for spirit in this urban world I dwell. So I stop and listen and feel the power of the one within me who *is* here, who *is* listening, *who* is feeling, *who* is experiencing every moment. And so I sit in the center of my consciousness, watching, listening, experiencing, and continuing to get lost in the forest, yet always finding openness and bliss in this humble space of peace and chaos.

 Many blessings on your path!

Finding your Peace Frequency

December 6, 2013 by Reverend Katherine Ganev Soto

You can be in peace at all times, even amongst the chaos. Find your Peace Frequency!

You can always find peace, it is a natural state of energy that is deep within our beings, deeply seeded, deeply rooted and triggered when love and joy are present, when we are flowing with our natural gifts and talents and doing what we love. Peace consists of spiritual energy threads that are always accessible to anyone, we are never without them. We have, however, judged against ourselves and have forgotten how to tune into the frequency of peace, love, and joy.

I have always had a connection with peace. I am also very aware of the opposite of peace and all the variations in between that are also available, accessible, and within me. Judging against one is judging against all because they are a part of the same thread, they are just different frequencies.

Some people have “pictures” of what peace is and may be afraid to allow peace to come through because of judgments. People think “it’s a Hippie thing” or “people aren’t facing reality” or “people can’t thrive or survive on love and joy and happiness alone – they are suppressing their anger, rage, violence…..” and so on and so forth. But, if deep within you know, feel, and are humbled by this overwhelming sense of peace, love, and joy, it’s ok to let it shine and to honor the frequency that wants to support and guide you through your earth walk.

This doesn’t mean ignoring your emotions, feelings, thoughts and it doesn’t mean suppressing them or trying to “get rid of” them if they are not of a peaceful nature. Peace, to me, is an honoring of exactly where we are, being the observer and present with the energy and harmonizing with it while seeing, feeling, hearing, knowing, and being in the frequency of peace, love, and joy with light amusement.

You can be in peace at all times, even amongst the chaos. How can you find your peace frequency? Imagine a peaceful, joyful, and/or loving time or a part of yourself or something or someone you deeply and unconditionally care for and love. Connect with that deepest part of your soul essence, your heart center, who you really are – your spirit in a body. Intend to connect in with that part of yourself. Just intend it and it is so.

Envision what peace means to you. What does it smell like, feel like, look like? What color is it? Surround and fill your entire being with this vision, allowing it to swirl around and within you fully and completely. Now feel the passion that is within it, the drive and power that it generates. Feel the slight sensations of the frequency pulsating through your physical body like a heartbeat in the cells and blood – a light electrical pulse flowing through and effecting positive and profound healing change in your being. Close your eyes and stay with this vision, giving your being the memory and channels to access this at any time.

Radiate the Peace Frequency for you and yours to effect positive change throughout your inner universe, which will impact the greater source.

Many blessings on your path!

Here I go into a place unknown. I’m not scared! I’m not scared!

October 25, 2013 by Reverend Katherine Ganev Soto

I am raw and curious as I practice through innocence
In this space between I find truth and experience

I’m stuck in fear. Please, please don’t let me go. I cannot see my heart through my broken eyes. I’m afraid. I’m alone, yet you are near. I can’t let go of what I fear. Please, please don’t let me go. But please, please help me heal. I’m stuck in fear. And here I go, into the light and beyond the smoke filled sky, to a place unknown. Goodbye, Goodbye.

When we choose to heal, consciously choose and set the intention to be in a new state of awareness and wisdom, a new state of being, we set in motion a chain of events that can bring us to this healing state we desire. But in order to gain the wisdom, healing, and awareness, we have to choose to be open to seeing our truth, even if it is fear. And we have to decide to let go of, and say goodbye to, what no longer serves, what is not our truth. In this way we can embrace and allow the chaos, the unknown, the healing to create our new experience.

This process doesn’t always happen quickly, and that’s not always necessary. Often we are held, or stuck, or in fear (whatever we choose) in a state of limbo, the betwixt and between, in the bardo, the in-between state, in transition.

We can go into this state when there are changes or traumas in our lives (however small or large they may appear to any individual). It is easy to get stuck in the fear space, watching the chaos happen but not allowing ourselves to acknowledge, accept, and experience, or find the rhythm with, its shifting frequency.

If we allow and truly sink into the experience and feel the rhythm from the eyes of our truth, our heart center, our neutrality, with amusement and curiosity, we can be held, nurtured, nourished, and thus receive powerful insight and healing. This will allow the release of the old and the attraction and manifestation of the new.

When we are in resistance to this in between state, the state of the unknown, we are in fight, flight, or freeze mode and we lose sight of what is available to experience in this moment. We cling to the past and stalk the future, neglecting the present and thus leaving holes in our ability to create and manifest the healing, movement, and change we desire.

This space between can be experienced however we choose. We are generally programmed to go into fear, into scarcity, into a place of survival because it’s been set and identified that it’s not ok to not know what the future holds, it’s not ok to let go of what we have, it’s not ok to be open or explore, it’s not ok to be in transition. But it is ok. It is our choice. We decide how we want to experience each moment.

Choose to shift your consciousness to your own truth, letting go of programming or belief systems that are not yours. Allow the full experience of the chaos as it harmonizes and shifts with your own energy to create a new tone, a new frequency that is in alignment with your new wisdom, healing, and awareness.

It is your right to heal. Intend it and believe it is so.

Many blessings,
Kathy 🙂

From the Eyes of an Urban Spirit Guide

September 27, 2013 by Reverend Katherine Ganev Soto

“The details and clarity of what I see, hear, feel and sense are like being taken on a great journey through uncharted magical lands of your deepest soul and imagination while riding on the back of a mystical flying creature.”

__________________________________________________________________________________________

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to see through the eyes of someone else or even an animal? I remember thinking, as a kid, “what if the colors I see are different from the colors you see” or “what if, what I see as a tree is different from what you see as a tree.” It’s hard to tell if others see, feel, sense, or hear things the same way we do since we are not them.

I am often asked what it is that I do as a Spirit Guide, a Shamanic Practitioner, a Medical Intuitive, a Clairvoyant. “But what do you really do,” people ask since it’s not a common urban career. “And how do you do it? How do you see in so much detail?” I remember being told I was “sensitive.” My vision in dreams, and in waking state, were phenomenal. I couldn’t help but love books because I could see so clearly what came through as words on a page. I would often get lost in my imagination and go on great journeys. I couldn’t look at a tree, a rock, the clouds, or even the ground without seeing many images, moving or still. Little did I know these would be great assets down the road.

I had a tough go for many years because I didn’t know what these gifts were or how to manage my sensitivities. Taking on the energies of others was exhausting and not knowing what was mine vs. someone else’s was enough to drive me bonkers (and it did). I got lost in my addictions (work, relationships, school, substances, you name it). It wasn’t until I desperately searched for and found my teachers that I was able to understand my gifts and learn how to use them to best serve all concerned (so much gratitude for my teachers) without having to numb myself through other means. I finally understood that not everyone sees or feels or hears or senses the same way that I do. But I’m not the only one, there are many of us. You may be one.

So what is it that I do and how do I do it? I use my heightened sensitivities of feeling, seeing, sensing, and hearing to gather and bring back wisdom, guidance, healing, lost soul parts or lost power to you to help on your path based on whatever you want to heal or manifest. I am not doing, I am not healing, I am a conduit, being present with the frequency (aka information or energy) that is coming through and bringing that frequency back to the rightful owner, you. It is up to you to be open to receive, to be present with the frequency that is coming back and to integrate what has come back, through changes in thoughts, beliefs and actions.

I may see metaphors, actual objects from this lifetime, situations from this life time, deceased loved ones, past lives, or parallel lives. I bring through power animals or helping spirits that will best support whatever you are working to heal. I bring wisdom and guidance from your spirit and spiritual teachers. I bring through healings from healing masters and psychic surgeons to help heal whatever wounds are ready to be healed. I bring back soul parts and power that was always yours to begin with but were lost through trauma, programming, and life. The information is yours to do with what you wish. You can receive or reject whatever you choose.

Everyone’s experience is unique and no matter what “role” I am playing (spirit guide, shamanic practitioner, medical intuitive, psychic, clairvoyant), I am using my same gifts to bring the wisdom and healing through that you are open and ready to receive at this time. The details and clarity of what I see, hear, feel and sense are like being taken on a great journey through uncharted magical lands of your deepest soul and imagination while riding on the back of a mystical flying creature. I walk in light. I see in the dark.

This work is very powerful and can create significant positive changes that can last for eternity if you are willing to step into a space of the unknown, find your wisdom, and fully embrace your truth.

I only work with permission, I do no harm, and I work within the laws of nature. I work with individuals, groups, and houses/businesses. When you’re ready, I am here.

 Many blessings
~~Kathy
